Radio Sutherland: Your Voice, On Air
Local radio was missing - so we brought it back. Radio Sutherland, launching summer 2025, will stream the heartbeat of Brora, Golspie, and Helmsdale: local updates, music, and chat. Thanks to Kilbruar Windfarm Community Benefit Trust, we’ve secured studio space at Brora Village Hub and are training young presenters through a youth program. Love the idea? Brora Youth Room: Where Young Leaders Thrive
What began as a drop-in club is now a youth-led movement. With around 50 active members (and growing!), the Brora Youth Development Team plans activities, earns awards, and even learns bike maintenance from local experts. From animation workshops with pro filmmakers, Rokzkool Academy, to boccia tournaments with Highlife Highland. If interested, join us Wednesdays or Fridays at the Community Centre!
Brora’s New Mural: Art with Heart
The beloved Millennium Mural is being painstakingly documented with the intention of moving it from its current location, and restored elsewhere for posterity. Local artist Shirley Maclean (who helped create the original) has designed a modern replacement mural "Brora Through the Seasons", a vibrant tribute to our village.
